SENIOR AND SPECIAL NEEDS DOGS

CONSIDER ADOPTING A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS CHESSIE! Generally, what you see is what you get. A senior or special needs Chessie is more settled, habits and behavior pretty well known. The rewards are great on both sides of the equation. These chessie's still have a huge heart full of love to share with their new family and will be most appreciative of the love and attention you give to him. Special Needs pets are animals requiring some extra attention due to a medical condition or physical infirmity. Diabetic, deaf and blind dogs are some examples of these great animals who pay you back with a lot of love. Having to live out a proud life in a kennel situation just is not fair to these wonderful boys and girls. Many shelters will not accept (or keep alive) these great dogs as they are deemed 'unadoptable'. So unfair! These seniors or special needs dogs can be some of the best companions you could ever find.

The adoption fee is $0.00 for these Chessie's...but as always a small donation is always appreciated.

CAESAR

Caesar- a very sweet 5 yr old brown male - neutered, about 65#. Caesar has completely lost his eyesight and is now doing very well getting around . He's a very mellow guy and it's time he had a home where he can enjoy being inside and experience the "Good Life" as we like all of our Chessies to do.

ZEKE

ZekeA very sweet 6 year old neutered male. Zeke is deaf, apparently since birth. This special needs dog is looking for that special person to understand him and keep him safe. Zeke will need to be in a home with no small children or other dogs. He responds to some hand signals - is gentle of mouth when taking food from hand; he will amuse himself with his toys - a very good youngster..... but still a lot of puppy.Zeke
