SENIOR DOGS FOR ADOPTION

CONSIDER ADOPTING A SENIOR OR SPECIAL NEEDS CHESSIE! Generally, what you see is what you get. A senior or special needs Chessie is more settled, habits and behavior pretty well known. The rewards are great on both sides of the equation. These chessie's still have a huge heart full of love to share with their new family and will be most appreciative of the love and attention you give to him. Special Needs pets are animals requiring some extra attention due to a medical condition or physical infirmity. Diabetic, deaf and blind dogs are some examples of these great animals who pay you back with a lot of love. Having to live out a proud life in a kennel situation just is not fair to these wonderful boys and girls. Many shelters will not accept (or keep alive) these great dogs as they are deemed 'unadoptable'. So unfair! These seniors or special needs dogs can be some of the best companions you could ever find.

The adoption fee is $0.00 for these Chessie's...but as always a small donation is always appreciated.

Chesapeake Safe Harbor welcomes calls and emails with questions specific to each dog. Each adoption is an individual situation; generalizing cannot cover each case. We want to meet prospective families, their children, other dogs ... doing your homework is vital in making a good choice.
