The rewards are great on both sides of the equation. These chessie's still have a huge heart full of love to share with their new family and will be most appreciative of the love and attention you give to him. Special Needs pets are animals requiring some extra attention due to a medical condition or physical infirmity. Diabetic, deaf and blind dogs are some examples of these great animals who pay you back with a lot of love. Having to live out a proud life in a kennel situation just is not fair to these wonderful boys and girls. Many shelters will not accept (or keep alive) these great dogs as they are deemed 'unadoptable'. So unfair! These seniors or special needs dogs can be some of the best companions you could ever find.
